For those involved in living history, there is a fascination about how people lived and survived in the past.  Whichever era you choose to research and portray, there remains a mystique.  Like modern forensic specialists we dig and search attempting to find the missing links to the past.  The quest for research yields boundless resources for those involved in living history.  The culmination of that research for many of us is the living history event, such as a reenactment or rendezvous.

Living history takes many forms, from Renaissance through the Vietnam Conflict. We at Living-history.net will focus on reenactments in American history from the French & Indian War through the American Civil War. If you host an event not listed on our site and would like to do so follow this link.

Please note that I am currently updating the events pages.  Many sites have not as yet set a 2009 date.  Also, I am working on condensing these pages into an 18th century section and a 19th century section, so be looking for that the first of the year.
